Find Saved Threads Media in Samsung My Files
Problem Summary
You downloaded media using Samsung Internet or Chrome on a Galaxy device, but cannot immediately find the file in your media gallery.
Why This Happens
Samsung One UI downloads files directly into internal storage under the Downloads directory. Depending on media scanner index timing, large videos may take a moment to appear in the Gallery album view.
How to Resolve It
- Open the built-in "My Files" app from the Samsung app drawer.
- Tap the "Downloads" category icon near the top of the main screen.
- Look for the most recent .mp4 or .jpg file with the post identifier in its filename.
- Long-press the file, tap "Move" or "Copy", and choose "Internal storage" > "DCIM" > "Camera" to force immediate display in Samsung Gallery.
